Coloo AI is a mobile app that turns videos into printable coloring pages for kids. Parents share a video from YouTube, TikTok or Instagram, the app extracts the best frames, and Coloo AI converts the one you pick into a clean black-and-white coloring page — ready to color in the app or print as a PDF on A4 or US Letter paper.

Coloo AI is made for families. It's ad-free, doesn't track children, and the coloring pages you create stay private to your account.

Coloo AI is available on iOS and Android.

It takes about 2 minutes. Here's the full flow:

You sign in with a single tap using your Apple or Google account. There's no password to remember and no form to fill in. Your account lets us save your coloring pages privately, sync them across devices, and manage your subscription.

Coloo AI runs on:

• iOS 15.4 and later — iPhone and iPad
• Android 9 and later

Coloo AI is fully translated in English and French. The app uses your device's system language by default — you can change it in Settings → Language.

From any of the three apps, the flow is the same:

Coloo AI works with almost any public video, but some give much better coloring pages than others. Look for:

• Clear subjects — one or two main characters or objects in frame, not a crowd
• Good lighting — daylight or well-lit indoor scenes
• Slow or steady motion — fast cuts and shaky footage are harder to convert
• Simple backgrounds — plain walls, sky or grass beat busy patterns
• High resolution — HD or 4K videos give crisper lines than low-quality clips

Cartoons, kid-friendly creators, animals, vehicles and nature scenes are popular choices among Coloo families.

Coloo AI scans the video and selects the sharpest, most visually clear frames — skipping blurry ones, motion-heavy moments and transitions. You then see a small gallery of candidate frames and pick your favorite. If none look right, you can scroll the timeline manually and pick any frame yourself.

Fast conversion uses classic edge detection: it's instant, runs on-device, and gives you clean outlines in a few seconds. It's perfect for most cartoons, characters and simple scenes.

Premium AI conversion uses an AI model that better understands what's in the frame — separating subject from background, smoothing noisy areas, and giving more "hand-drawn" coloring book lines. It's the best choice for photos with complex backgrounds, real-life scenes, and detailed images.

Yes. From the home screen, tap + and pick From photo. Choose any picture from your camera roll — a pet, a family photo, a drawing your child made — and Coloo AI converts it into a printable coloring page using the same engine. It's a great way to make personalized birthday gifts.

Yes. Once a page is generated, tap Edit to adjust:

• Line thickness — bolder for younger kids, finer for detailed work
• Detail level — simplify the page for toddlers, or add more detail for older kids
• Crop — focus on the main subject and remove background

You can use any public video from YouTube, TikTok or Instagram with Coloo AI. The coloring pages you create are for personal and family use — printing them for your child, framing them at home, or gifting them to family is fine. Selling them or distributing them publicly is not allowed.

From any coloring page in your library, tap the Share icon and choose Print. iOS uses AirPrint, Android uses your printer's app (most major brands are supported out of the box). You can also tap Save PDF to save the file to your phone, email it to yourself, or send it to a print shop.

Every Coloo AI coloring page is exported as a high-resolution PDF designed to print perfectly on both A4 (most of the world) and US Letter (US and Canada). The app picks the right size based on your region automatically, and you can override it in Settings → Print size.

You can also print smaller sizes (A5, half-letter) directly from your printer's settings — useful for travel coloring books.

• Standard 80 gsm printer paper — fine for crayons and colored pencils, the everyday choice
• 120 gsm or heavier — recommended for markers, gel pens or watercolors to prevent bleed-through
• Matte cardstock (160 gsm) — great for keepsakes, birthday gifts and framed pages

Always print in black & white to save color ink, and choose "Best" or "High quality" in your printer settings for the sharpest lines.

You have three good options:

• Color in the app — every coloring page can be colored digitally with a full palette, then saved or shared
• Save as PDF and print at a shop — most office stores print PDFs from your phone for a few cents
• Email it to a friend or grandparent who has a printer

Yes. In your library, tap Select, choose multiple pages, then tap Export PDF. Coloo AI combines them into a single PDF — perfect for making a custom coloring book for a birthday, a road trip or a rainy day.

Your first coloring page is free, with no card required. You see the exact quality of the final result before deciding whether to subscribe. Coloo Plus only kicks in if you choose to keep creating.

The Explore tab is a library of free printable coloring pages made by our own illustrators — animals, vehicles, dinosaurs, princesses, space, nature, and seasonal packs. They print directly as PDF on A4 or US Letter paper, and many are designed for preschoolers with bold simple lines.

Explore pages are free to print and color, without needing a subscription.

Yes. Open Explore → Ages 2–4 for thick-line, simple-shape coloring pages designed for little hands. When generating from a video or photo, you can also lower the detail level in the edit screen to make any page toddler-friendly.

On the free tier you can:

• Print and color the entire Explore library of original coloring pages
• Generate one free coloring page from a video or photo, as a trial
• Color in the app with the full palette
• Save your library and access it across devices

Generating unlimited coloring pages from your own videos and photos, premium AI conversion and high-resolution PDF export require Coloo Plus.

Yes. Coloo AI is built around four safety principles:

• No ads, ever. Children never see advertising in the app.
• No tracking of kids. We don't run third-party analytics on child-facing screens.
• Private by default. The coloring pages you create stay private to your account. There's no social feed and no public profile.
• Parent-gated import. Importing a video requires a parent action (signing in and tapping Share from a video app), so children can't pull arbitrary content into the app on their own.

Yes. Coloo AI is designed to comply with:

• COPPA (US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act)
• GDPR-K (EU rules for children's data, with parental consent for users under the local age of digital consent — 13–16 depending on country)
• Apple App Store Kids Category guidelines and Google Play Families Policy

The minimum we need to run the app: your email (from Apple or Google Sign-in), your subscription status, and the coloring pages saved in your library. Videos shared to Coloo AI are processed to extract frames, then deleted from our servers within 24 hours.

We never sell your data, never share it with advertisers, and never use children's data for marketing.

Yes. In Settings → Parental controls you can:

• Lock subscription and account screens behind a PIN
• Disable in-app purchases
• Restrict video import to your account only

The app also respects iOS Screen Time and Android Family Link settings.

That's the idea. Coloo AI is designed as a bridge: kids see a video they love, the app turns one moment from it into a printable coloring page, and then they spend the next hour coloring with crayons on paper — away from the screen.

There are two plans:

• Annual — $99.99/year ($1.92/week, billed once a year). Best value, saves about 81% versus weekly.
• Weekly — $9.99/week. For trying it out, billed every week.

Both plans include unlimited coloring pages, all Explore packs, premium AI conversion, high-quality PDF export and one family account. Prices in your local currency are shown in the app.

Coloo Plus is managed by Apple or Google, not by us, so you cancel directly with them.

Canceling takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You'll keep Coloo Plus features until then.

Yes. Coloo Plus supports Apple Family Sharing and Google Play Family Library. Up to 6 family members can share one subscription. Enable it in your App Store or Google Play family settings.

Sign in with the same Apple or Google account you used to subscribe, open Coloo AI, go to Settings → Subscription, and tap Restore purchases. Your subscription comes back in a few seconds.

Apple and Google convert prices into your local currency and apply local taxes. The price you see in the App Store or Google Play is exactly what you'll be charged.

The most common causes:

• Fast motion or shaky footage in the source video — pick a different frame, or use a more static moment
• Low-resolution video — older or compressed clips give noisy results
• Busy background — try cropping closer to the subject in the edit screen
• Wrong conversion engine — switch from Fast to Premium AI for complex scenes

iOS: open the share sheet, scroll the row of apps all the way to the right, tap More, then enable Coloo AI. You can also tap Edit at the bottom and pin Coloo AI to the top.

Android: if Coloo AI doesn't appear, restart your phone — Android sometimes takes a moment to register new share targets after install. If it still doesn't appear, reinstall the app.

Try these in order:

Coloo AI needs an internet connection to extract video frames. Check that you're on Wi-Fi or have a strong mobile data signal, then retry. If the error keeps appearing, switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data to confirm it's not your network.

Coloo AI can only process videos that are publicly viewable. Private videos, age-restricted YouTube content, and videos behind a login (private Instagram accounts, locked TikTok profiles) can't be shared into the app.

Three things to check:

• Print quality in your printer settings — switch to Best or High
• Your printer's black ink level — low ink causes faded lines
• "Fit to page" or "Scale" should be set to 100% or Actual size

Open Coloo AI and tap Continue with Apple or Continue with Google. Both use one-tap secure sign-in — no password to remember.

Install Coloo AI on the new device, sign in with the same Apple or Google account, and everything — coloring pages, subscription, settings — appears automatically.

Yes. One account can be signed in on as many devices as you want — phone, tablet, parent's device and child's device. Your library syncs in seconds.

In the app, go to Settings → Account → Delete account. We delete your library, your subscription metadata and your account permanently within 30 days. Cancel any active subscription first in the App Store or Google Play (deleting your Coloo account doesn't automatically cancel subscriptions, since Apple and Google handle billing).

You can also email jake@coloo.ai to request deletion.

Yes. The Holidays pack in Explore includes Christmas trees, Santa, snowmen, reindeer, gingerbread houses and nativity scenes — all free to print on A4 or US Letter paper. You can also turn any Christmas video your child loves into a custom Christmas coloring page using the share flow.

Yes — this is one of our favorite uses. Pick a photo of the birthday kid, their pet, or a memorable family moment, convert it into a coloring page, print a few copies on heavy paper, and give them out at the party.
